Since I've been drooling over INXS videos over on LJ all night, I thought I would post this video here. It's from Michael's side project in 1989, Max Q, of which I'd heard none until tonight. And wow, this video and song are both extremely powerful and hauntingly appropriate. Michael Hutchence was a man way ahead of his time, which is probably part of why he's not with us anymore.
What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
Well, since I'm normally getting off work first thing in the morning, I don't often go for caffeine, but every once in a while I have stuff to do before I can go to bed. In that case, I stop over at Mornin' Glory and either get an Irish cream latte (on the rocks during the summer) or a Joe Mocha shake (vanilla milkshake with a shot of espresso and chocolate syrup). Otherwise, I usually just drink water once I'm home. Now, if we're talking my morning (i.e. 0000 hours), I drink iced tea that I make from Lipton Cold Brew tea bags while I'm at work - and way too much, really, but it's unsweetened so I guess things could be worse. That reminds me... crap... I'm all out. I'll have to get some before work tonight!
What do you usually do on Sunday?
It depends. If we have a project in mind, we're out on that, or returning from a road trip. Otherwise, it's mostly lazy, with some chores, family visits, and cooking thrown in for good measure. Monday morning, for me, begins at midnight, so I need to get some decent sleep before going into work, too. Well, today has been a fine exercise in laziness - I've been in bed most of the day, actually.
This house isn't gonna clean itself, missy!
What was the first movie you remember seeing in a movie theater?
Question submitted by mainmor.
Well, this will be brief, because the first movie I remember seeing in a theater was Superman 3, and my memory of this event is very fleeting considering I was all of three years old when it played. I think my mom took me. There, you have your fleeting memory QOTD.
